To implement the initiative put forward by President Xi Jinping during his visit to Europe, namely doubling the number of young Europeans on exchange programs to China in the next three years, the Launch of the UK Young Envoys Scholarship Programme (YES Programme) were held in December 2024. The Chinese Embassy in the UK actively promotes and facilitates the China-UK educational collaboration while providing visa facilitation for British youth traveling to China.

The Chinese Embassy, in collaboration with Air China, has implemented additional measures under the initiative. For youth participants of the YES Program traveling to China in 2025, exclusive airfare discounts will be offered. Passengers enjoy up to 10% discount on eligible fare classes for flights departing from London to China (one-way or round-trip), plus one free additional checked luggage in economy class. Those eligible can apply for this offer by emailing britain07@lxgz.org.cnwith the subject “YES Program Ticket Inquiry”. The email should cover the following key information such as travelling dates, number of travelers, and the name of the Chinese program. The embassy will provide relevant consultation and support.
